Hi everyone, it’s Brenda. I’ve been thinking a lot about this journey lately, and I just wanted to share what it’s meant to me as Renna’s mom. 

 

This fundraising season has been about so much more than shoes or numbers. It has connected me to people in ways I never expected. I’ve reconnected with friends I haven’t seen since the late ’90s, and I’ve met so many new people who have shown up for Renna with open hearts. Each conversation, hug, message, and shared story has reminded me that we are not doing this alone. 
 

There are moments in life—especially when you’re parenting a child with complex needs—when things can feel isolating. This journey has been the opposite of that. It has wrapped us in community, encouragement, and kindness in ways I will always be grateful for. 

 

We are still raising funds for Renna’s future needs, and through this experience I’ve been inspired to help other families with their own fundraising journeys as well — more on that to come.
