Yesterday was supposed to be full of Christmas joy for Renna — her Miracle League Christmas party. Instead, we stayed home because she was sick. Today, she also had to miss her small group Christmas party. 

That part never gets easier. 

Renna is usually so happy and full of life, so when she’s not herself, it’s hard for both of us. What makes it even harder is that she can’t tell me exactly what’s wrong. I’m left watching, guessing, holding her close, and wishing I could take it all away. 

 

She missed out on moments that meant so much to her — the people, the music, the excitement — and that hurts my heart as her mom. These are the moments I want her to experience fully, especially during the holidays. 

 

Tonight she’s resting, snuggled up, and I’m praying tomorrow is a better day. 

Thank you for continuing to love, support, pray for, and walk alongside our girl. Every bit of support helps us care for Renna not just on the good days, but especially on the hard ones.
