As we head into Thanksgiving, my heart is overflowing with gratitude — not just for the donations and the shoes, but for the stories, the people, and the unbelievable kindness we’ve witnessed these past few weeks. 

Just yesterday, someone approached us and said they had been holding on to shoes they could no longer wear since a surgery years ago. They were waiting for an opportunity just like this to give them a second life. It’s these moments — these glimpses of generosity and human kindness — that leave me in awe.

Another person told me they spent the night sorting 88 pairs of shoes into bags, saying their late wife would be so proud that her belongings are going to help a little girl. That kind of love and selflessness is beyond words.

These are just a couple of the many, many stories that have poured in. Every single one is a reminder that Renna’s journey is surrounded by a community of angels — people like you, who choose to see her, love her, and believe in her.

We still have a long road ahead. Once we reach the $20,000 mark, the real journey begins. It can take up to two years for Renna’s service dog to be trained and matched to her specific needs. And then, we’ll head to Ohio for a 10-day training with her new companion — a trip that will mark the start of a whole new chapter of freedom and support for her.

Your support is the reason we can dream of that day. Every donation, every share, and every story gets us one step closer to giving Renna the gift of a service dog who will change her world.
