Dear friends,
I am trying to become more independent before my dear sweet amazing sister leaves soon. She had some skin cancer surgery on her face at a hospital in Nashville and needs to return to her surgeon. She’s postponed some appointments for me and I am so grateful.
It’s been such a special time to talk to her as we have had time reminiscing about our growing up, times we recall with our parents. I truly love this time with her. It’s the blessing of the terrible accident.
I have loved the “drop-in visits” I’ve had with so many folks and love that so much. I truly hope if you have a little time you will want to visit too if you haven’t. No pressure.
I am occasionally needing someone to grocery shop for me. I’m trying to get my home a little more organized so I can reach things and move safely with my rolater. I’m still under the BLT…no bending, lifting more than 5-10 lbs, twisting. Hoping when I see Surgeon on Thurs with my new xray in hand, I’ll have good news and BLT will be lifted.
I’m off Oxy. I still am on muscle relaxers, gabapentin which is supposed to be helping my nerves in my left leg that is so sore still, and ibuprofen or if pain is bad I can take tramadol. This morning I did and though it made me drowsy I feel better than I’ve felt so far. I’m so grateful to all of you, to Pastor Meghan for initiating this registry, to the medical teams and all the amazing folks that work in any part of it, and to my creator. I feel so blessed in spite of the challenges of this journey because of you.
