I am very grateful to be at home.  I was hopeful that I could have stayed in the Encompass Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Altamonte Springs to become more confident in learning the strategies to learn to live alone, to have the assistance of the nurses in administering the meds, and most of all the physical and occupational therapies that are so useful as I was navigating the extreme pain.  The sciatica pain only became more excruciating after surgery which was shocking to me.  You have seen pictures where loved ones and friends would hold me but I wasn't able to stand on my own. Even now standing is very painful.  As you know I was very capable of doing things in spite of my scoliosis and leg discrepancy of 7 mm, so when it comes to where I am now it has been discouraging.  Thankfully, I believe that the thoughts, prayers and support of so many of you are encouraging to me.  I will not be discouraged.  I will be encouraged and determined to follow what I am being taught.
I love the times you visit and share your stories too.
