A few updates from the past couple of days.
- My uncle has been working out the repatriation logistics with The Central de Ambulância Aérea - The Medical Air Services Brazil - and after analyzing all the medical reports, they have approved Rafael’s trip! They are currently planning the trip from Cebu, in the Philippines to Fortaleza Brazil.
- In order to avoid missing this opportunity my uncle had to get a loan for remaining amount to pay for the trip - so that will need to be paid back, BUT the travel service are booked!! We’ll know more details when they complete the travel plans.
- One of the tests required from Rafa is proof that he could sit for 90min straight and he sat for 120min with no issues! We are confident that he will be safe during the trip.
Where do we go from here?
We continue to raise funds to help pay the debt of repatriation trip, and the family is arranging the home care set up for Rafael when he arrive. Rina will stay behind to sell what they can’t take to Brazil, and will meet them at a later date.
