Hello everyone!
Coming to give a little update on the travel plans. As per my last update the transport service is paid for (BIG YAY), but the trip planning has stalled a bit as we wait for the green light from one of the airlines involved in this long journey. Although Rafa has been cleared by the medical transport company, each airline’s medical team must independently review his application and approve him for travel.

Although Rafa has been cleared by the medical transport company, each airline’s medical team must independently review his application and approve him for travel.
As soon as we receive their approval, we’ll have a confirmed itinerary and travel date.
Other updates:
My uncle’s house needed some remodeling to adapt the original layout to their new needs. The structural work is now in its final stages! Next, we’ll focus on furnishing Rafa’s new room with whatever essentials they won’t be able to bring from the Philippines. We estimate this will cost around $2,300 USD.
Little by little, things are moving forward. Rafa is stable and ready to go, and we are getting closer to the day when Rafa and his family can finally be together and settled in Brazil.

Although we’ve made progress, there are still significant expenses expenses we’re gradually working to cover, such as:
- Medical bill loan: $15,000 USD
- Repatriation trip loan: $30,000 USD
- Oxygen supply for the flight: (Waiting on quote from airline)
- Monthly physical therapy sessions
- Monthly supply of medications
