Hello, everyone! It's been about a week since my last update, so I thought I'd check in and let you know how things are going.
The short version? I'm still here, still going through treatment, and still trying to figure out how to live something resembling a normal life in the middle of all this. LOL.
There haven't been any major developments since my last update, which is probably a good thing, although I have to admit that the waiting between treatments and appointments is its own peculiar kind of challenge.
There's a lot of uncertainty involved in treating cancer, and not everything comes with an immediate answer. Sometimes you just have to continue with the plan, trust the people caring for you, and wait to see what happens.
In the meantime, there are groceries to buy, meals to figure out, household responsibilities, family needs, and all the other little things that don't magically disappear when someone gets sick.
I'm still finding that my energy and physical abilities can vary quite a bit from day to day. Some days I can manage more than others, and I'm learning to adjust my expectations accordingly. Not exactly my favorite life lesson, but apparently nobody asked me. LOL.
I'm also making a conscious effort to enjoy myself. Spending time with Heiko and Anwyn, playing video games, listening to music, and finding reasons to laugh have all been important parts of getting through this.
I don't want cancer to be the only thing happening in my life, even when it's demanding an absolutely unreasonable amount of my attention.
The support we've received continues to make a difference. Whether it's financial assistance, help with everyday responsibilities, encouragement, or simply knowing people are thinking about us, it all helps ease some of the pressure while I continue treatment.
There's still a long road ahead, and we're taking it as it comes.
Thank you for being here with us, especially during the quieter stretches when there's not much to report. Life doesn't stop between medical appointments, and neither do the challenges, the good moments, or the reasons to be grateful.
Much love, and thank you. 💜
