Hello!

It has been a quiet day in our house and for that we are grateful. Madeline has handled this round of chemo well. Apart from looking a little green yesterday and needing a nap each day she has been herself.

Kaitlyn on the other hand is home with bronchitis and is in worse shape than Madeline. We are praying for quick healing for Kaitlyn and that Madeline’s little body maintains the ability to fight off infections. We need these girls to be able to play together and support one another through this so we are promoting lots of hand washing but are otherwise just hoping for the best! I am doing my best not to stress about it. Instead we have played hospital and walked in the rain today. We are firm believers in fresh air and a good walk to calm our nerves and heal our bodies!

David is back to work today. Thankfully he has an amazing team of co workers who I am sure are excited to have him back. Even though it is just work it feels good to have some glimmer of a routine back after a very unpredictable two weeks.

Thank you to all of you who are supporting our family through gifts, encouraging words, letters, meals, etc. Even though we wish we were still naive to the world of childhood cancer it is a privilege to be walking through it surrounded by such incredible friends, family, and people we have never even met. We are blessed to have each and every one of you as part of our lives. We love you always!
