Today was my husband’s last day of work at school and we ended it at our favorite place to be, the neighborhood park. Ozzy loves watching his sister catch fish and then touching them as they flop. 

If not feeling fish, he longingly looks at the slide and swing. There is no adaptive equipment at the park yet but Frank from Parks and Rec and I are working on it! 

Summer sunsets with Ozzy at the park is something I so desperately longed for two years ago as I sat terrified in the NICU. Our 19 day stay there was the
scariest time of my life. I was so desperate to know what effect the HIE would have on him. Pestering doctors about what he would and wouldn’t be able to do. 

His future is still unwritten but look what two years can do.
