Hello all! Here is a Noah update for everyone:
I wanted to personally thank you all so much for all of the donations you have made so far. And thank you to those who chose to donate privately, I will change the goal price to reflect that shortly after the holidays after tallying everything up.
With your generous love and support, I have signed Noah up for his first therapy paid for by you all, hippotherapy. This is where he will work closely with a physical therapist that works with special needs children on horses. Funny thing, Noah's OT and PT both suggested this therapy to hopefully help to stimulate spontaneous walking, and here is how it works:
"Hippotherapy helps kids learn to walk by utilizing the rhythmic movement of a horse, which closely mimics the natural walking pattern of humans, thereby stimulating the child's neuromuscular system to develop more normal mobility patterns and improve balance, coordination, and muscle control through repetitive sensory input while sitting on the horse; essentially, the horse's gait acts as a "live" therapy tool to practice walking movements without actually walking on their own."
I have reached out to the therapist and we have an eval in early January yay!!! I'm so excited to see how this can support our sweet Noah.
Please continue to share his support page so that we can meet his goal and get him all signed up for his therapies this year. I cannot get him into a facility to help him with his autism issues until he starts walking, they won't accept him. This puts a lot of stress on us to be his primary PT throughout the weeks while also being parents to Lincoln and earning an income.
We might eventually have to use some of this money to pay for someone to come in our home and work with him on a daily basis. But we will see how things go.
I will attach his support now link below, I understand if you cannot give, and there are no hard feelings at all. But I do please ask that you share this so it can reach those who are fortunate enough to be able to donate to our sweet boy to take off some of the load we have as a family.
Thank you so much and Happy Holidays! 🎄
