The Power of Community and Compassion

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for your participation, generosity, and for following along. I’m so excited to share that donations have now reached $700, and we are down to just a few items remaining on the Amazon Wish List!

Items have been arriving daily, and I’ve officially started a growing pile in my garage of all the supplies everyone has so generously contributed. It has been incredible to see the support come in from so many people.

On Tuesday, I brought over moving boxes and tape and began helping her pack up their belongings. It was a very emotional process for her, as you can imagine, but we are taking it one step at a time.

A moving truck has been reserved for Friday morning, and some of her family will be coming to help load everything. From there, we’ll make the drive to their new place and begin getting them settled.

Her mom and a friend will be working on sprucing up the new home while we unload all of the donated supplies. They’ll also be making a grocery run and stocking the refrigerator so that she and her son can walk into a home that feels welcoming, comfortable, and ready for them.

It has been incredibly moving to witness the power of community. So many people have come together—through financial donations, items from the Wish List, time, physical help, and simple acts of kindness—to ease what has been an incredibly difficult transition.

Thank you all for being part of this. Every contribution has made a difference, and together, we are helping create a safe and hopeful new beginning for a mom and her son. 💛
