Bills paid! Food bought! Mercy from bill collecter!

UPDATE!!!

Wow!  A lot has been happening.  YHWH has been so good!  We have received another donation on our fundraiser and a couple outside of it.  We are still not close to buying all the material yet, but we are getting closer.  We had our monthly bills come up and our ladies ran out of food, so we have had to use some of the donations for that.  But it has been so amazing to see how YHWH has provided this money right at the moment they need it!  Our ladies ran out of food and were wondering how they would get more, but then literally the day they ran out of food, an anonymous donation came in without them even knowing this immediate need!  Then, we had bills that were a few days overdue and we had no money to pay them.  Rent: $80, Electricity: $270, and Sewage: $55.  We were able to pay the sewage from a donation, but the rent and electricity were still overdue and we were worried that if we didn’t pay soon, the rent collector would abuse Nabeel and the electricity guy would charge a fine.  We’ve been praying constantly that YHWH would soften the hearts of these men and allow Nabeel some grace to pay the bills when he could.  It is not at all common for them to give any grace and we’ve seen that they will just kick people out on the streets if they can’t pay, that is after they have slapped them and spit on them and spoken badly of them, Nabeel himself has endured this a few times in the past.  

The first miracle came when the electricity guy said he could give Nabeel a break on the bill because he didn’t use as much electricity this past month.  This is also unheard of!  This break brought it down from $270 to $230.  What a blessing!

The next miracle came when another anonymous donor sent $150 which then allowed Nabeel to pay the rent collector so that he didn’t cause trouble.  Praise YHWH!

Then the most recent miracle came today!  Last night I had spoken to Nabeel about the money that we have coming in and we are still waiting on a $200 transfer from the fundraiser to go through, so I haven’t been able to give him that yet.  Nabeel was concerned that the electricity guy was going to charge him an extra fee for being late on his payment.  I told him to talk to the man and tell him he had $70 and that he was waiting on a bank transfer to go through but he would have the money in a day or two.  Nabeel was very afraid that this wouldn’t work because he knows how the Muslims are when it comes to money.  They are downright mean.  But he and I prayed for YHWH to soften the heart of this man that he would show Nabeel mercy.  Here’s where the miracle comes in!  Not only did he show him mercy, but he didn’t take the $70 in advance but told him to just pay him the full amount in a day or two when the transfer went through!  AND…he told Nabeel to GO WITH GOD!!!  So now we know that this particular bill collector is a Christian and is sympathetic towards our cause!  This is huge!  Praise YHWH!!!

We also have another thing to celebrate!  The shopkeeper who we are going to purchase the material from has gotten our order in and has set it aside for us!  Huge stacks of the best winter material.  He is waiting for us to pay the full amount before he gives us any, but I am still praying that YHWH will soften his heart as well and allow us to get started with some of the material he has set aside since we have put a small down payment on it all and will continue to pay off the bill as donations and profit comes in.  Please be in prayer with me about this.

And one more thing to celebrate!  Another man approached Nabeel the other day saying he is looking for a wife for his son and was asking if any of the women of the sewing center would be willing to meet with them about it.  This man and his son are also Christians and Nabeel is very excited about this prospect.  Finding husbands for these women has always been one of the goals of this sewing center and it seems that YHWH is bringing them to us without us even trying!!!  Praise YHWH!!!

There is much to praise YHWH for today! 

Now that our bills are paid for the month, most, if not all, of the money that is received through your generous donations will be able to go strictly towards our material stack!!!  I am so excited about the progress being made here and it’s all thanks to you!  Let’s keep this going, share the fundraiser and consider donating again if you are able so we can get that much closer to self sufficiency in our sewing center and begin to start preparing for these upcoming weddings!  Thank you all so much!!!
