The OR has been rescheduled for later today—not exactly the news we were hoping for. Avry’s feedings weren’t turned off last night, which means we need to wait six hours of being NPO before she can go under for scans and bone marrow procedures. So, we pivot.

Today is the MIBG scan, bone marrow biopsy, bone marrow aspiration, and MRI. It is 3-5 hours in the OR today. (Very painful)

This morning, she got out of bed all by herself, walked over to the couch, and climbed up on her own. She wanted to show her daddy the window drawings she made yesterday during physical therapy, so we FaceTimed him. Then she climbed back down, pushed her big, heavy pole all the way back to her bed, and crawled back up so she could sit and paint.

She’s feeling really good this morning—and I’m taking that as a gift. A sign that we’re meant to just be here, be present, and enjoy her while we wait to hear when we’ll be heading to the OR.

This could mean we won’t go home until tomorrow—it just depends on how she’s doing after surgery. Crystal is here with me today, and Trace is with Glory. Grateful for the support, and trusting God’s timing in every pivot.
