Dear friends, family, and prayer warriors,

We’re coming to you with hearts full of both praise and petition as we enter another big week for our sweet girl.

Avry is scheduled for major surgery this coming Monday, June 16, to remove remaining tumors and enlarged lymph nodes. While scans can only tell part of the story, we’ve seen incredible progress:

🙏 Just three months ago, there was such a large mass that the doctors couldn’t even tell what was what.
🙏 Now, the largest mass has shrunk over 6 centimeters.
🙏 Most of the lymph nodes have significantly decreased.
🙏 And just today, the surgeon said, “We are in the best position we possibly could be.”

That means there are no arteries tangled through the main tumor on the right adrenal gland—a huge answer to prayer.

But even with this good news, this is still a major surgery, and we are asking for your intentional, specific prayers to cover every single detail.

🩵 Prayer Requests:

— That there would be no excess bleeding during surgery
— That Dr. Naditch would be able to fully remove the tumor without complication
— That they would not need to open her up from another angle, and that the incision would not stretch across the entire width of her abdomen
— That the surgeon’s hands would be guided with divine precision, able to feel and identify every affected lymph node
— That every cancer-touched lymph node would be carefully and completely removed

— That a heavenly host of guardian angels would surround the operating room
— That the surgical team would be sharp, alert, attentive, and full of peace
— That Jake and I would have peace as we wait—calm hearts, steady spirits, and confidence in the hands of the Great Physician
— That we would be given a peace that passes all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus

— That we would make wise and informed decisions about pain management
— That as she comes out of surgery, her team would know exactly when and how to wake her, and that the pain would be minimal and well-managed
— That she could rest, deeply and safely, and begin to recover with strength
— And that Jake and I would be upheld—strong enough to witness her endure this, and surrendered enough to trust her Creator with every step

Please also cover this week’s scans and procedures in prayer, including:
• MIBG scan
• Bone marrow aspiration
• Bone marrow biopsy (especially painful)
Ask for gentleness, protection, and that God would place a Hydro-shield of divine covering over her entire body.
