Avry is back in her room!
She did so well. Her vitals were stable the entire time, and Dr. Mitchell was pleased with how the bone marrow procedures went.
The wake-up wasn’t traumatic—thank You, Jesus! 🙌
She was groggy, but I could tell she was asking for me. She said she wasn’t in much pain, just that she felt grumpy and wanted me to lay beside her. So I did. And she snuggled in as close as she could. 🥹 It’s the literal best feeling in the world!
Soon after, she was already asking to go back to her room. She was heartbroken that her daddy couldn’t be here, but she’s going to sleep well tonight with all the meds they gave her.
Now we focus on getting her back on track with feedings and staying ahead of the pain. 🙏 Please pray we can keep the nausea at bay.
The NP said she’ll try to have us discharged first thing in the morning so Crystal can drive us home before heading to the airport.
Please keep Trace in your prayers—he’s not doing well today. Glory was with him all day, and we’re not sure exactly what’s going on, but he’s been struggling. 😰 doesn’t seem like asthma but whatever it is-its not nice.
We give all praise to the hand of God—for protecting Avry during the procedure, guiding the doctors, and comforting her little heart and mine in those tender post-op moments. His presence was felt in every detail today.
We’re so thankful for each one of you who continues to lift us up in prayer and surround us with kindness. Every message, every act of love, every moment you’ve taken to care—it means more than we can say. 💛
We couldn’t walk this road without you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for praying. Thank you for believing with us.
I cannot wait to be united with our little family tomorrow night, Lord willing. Its the first in 3 weeks!
