Mike and Amy Sager
Dear friends and family,
God is good and by His grace, I’m still here. Your prayers have been so encouraging to me and our family. From the moment I woke up in the hospital and Amy was able to share that people were praying for me, every time it felt like God was saying, ”I love you.” God is glorified when we seek Him. I want to encourage you and remind you that there are no accidents or mistakes with God. I have never been more confident and at peace in knowing that God has me exactly where He wants me in the condition He has me in. There is so much more to share about what God is showing me day by day, but Amy says I’m not allowed to write a novel. It's ok though, God is only revealing to me day by day what He wants me to process. I truly am excited and hopeful for the future.
I have shared with friends that my progress has been hard to gauge, and that I feel like a glacier that needs someone to come by and tell me if I’ve progressed at all. I do feel like I am healing and that my overall stamina is building. Sometimes I make it the whole day with no naps and other days I take multiple naps. I am beyond words thankful to God for Amy. I love her.
Please continue to pray for our family as we are all going through different things and different stages right now. I pray this for my family and for you all, that God will continue to grow and strengthen the testimony He has and is building in each of you. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Philippians 1:20,21 came to mind while lying in the hospital and has never meant so much as it does now. “...as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by my life or by my death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Please continue praying:
- That Monday's appointment with the ophthalmologist/surgeon would give us more insight into how each eye is healing and what we can expect in the coming weeks.
- That Friday's appointment with the ENT would likewise give us insight into the present state of his vocal cords, if we might expect more healing and progress, and if any further measures are available to us to help Mike regain his full voice.
- That we would balance rest and healing with seeking God for future plans and decisions.
