Miguel Yañez Sr.
Good Morning Friend & Family,
I hope everyone is doing well. Last week my sister noticed my dads energy dramatically decreased and he had no appetite for 2 days. He then had a fever and she took him to the emergency room. The doctors kept him to observe him and run tests. He had an EGD procedure and they also dilated his esophagus to help with swallowing. He had diarrhea with blood. The doctors finally gave my sister an update yesterday. The infection in his liver has returned. They will stop chemo therapy for now. He was referred to a rehabilitation center for 2-3 weeks. He will have round the clock care there including physical therapy to keep him moving. The goal is to get him stronger, get him to eat, and manage the infection with specific antibiotics. Once that is under control they can begin chemotherapy again. He will have his phone so if anyone wants to call him. He may answer depending on his energy levels. Please keep him in continued prayers. We appreciate all of your prayers, inquiries and support that you have already provided.
