Merritt is home after a “quick” hospital stay of four days! The picture is him getting some snuggles on his couch shortly after discharge yesterday. I always feel like he can tell when he is back in his own environment, and man is he always pumped!
We are hopeful that things will get a little bit better, but we still don’t have a lot of answers. We added a drug that helps reduce the acidity in his stomach and also pulled his ng tube WAY out. Hopefully this will help reduce the irritation and inflammation in his stomach and help get us to surgery on the 26th. We do not know why he continues to struggle with a stuffy nose and has a hard time breathing at times.
We tried seeing if we could push the surgery forward, but we had no luck… so we wait. We had three straight days of no puking, but then he puked again this morning. Hopefully just a fluke 🤞🏻
Anyways, I want to thank you for your continued support, thoughts, and prayers. They mean so much to us. If you haven’t gotten a chance to share this page on social media, please do! We would love to get his story out and seen by as many people as possible. I am hoping we can continue to raise funds, get Merritt healthy, and then get him the therapies and treatments he really deserves!
