Hi everyone!

Lisa here. I am Stephanie's cousin, and I am helping manage this page behind the scenes to take some stress off the family's plate. As you may have heard, Ivan's procedure was postponed until September 23rd so he could get over the cold he caught.

And wow - the community's support has been incredible!

Because Cook Children's does not accept the family's insurance, the procedure cost is going to cost the family $140,000. Initially we did not know how well this fundraiser would do so we set a $25,000 goal, but in total honesty, that is still a drop in the bucket of the procedure's cost.

Since we are so close to meeting the original goal, we have decided to increase the goal to $45k to see if we can help the McDaniels even more!

Each time I've chatted with Stephanie, she has expressed her gratitude at how everyone has rallied around them this during this time. As a heart mom myself, I know the fear of waiting for your child's upcoming heart procedure all while still caring for yourself in early postpartum.
