Well— I believe I’ve proven over the last two weeks that updates are not my specialty. I keep thinking, “when I post my next substack I’ll post an update” and then I keep putting off writing… Anyway, it’s a whole vicious cycle— which I’m breaking right NOW!
I’m feeling overwhelmed with gratitude by the immense outpouring of support from all of you. Thank you so much for your well wishes, prayers and donations. It is truly humbling to receive all of it. Big lessons are coming in that department. Surrendering and receiving. These are two concepts that are taking up a lot of space in my consciousness these days.
I’m currently at the very end of my second round of chemo— which means I’m feeling pretty normal. There is however a vast expanse between feeling normal and being normal. First— I’m bald. (That’s a trip) And second I can’t actually do all the things that I think I can do without remembering that there’s a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment.
Chemo number three is this Friday. My daughter, Lila will be coming with me. So by Friday evening I’ll be brutally reminded of the unfortunate realities of this process. But I’ll also be halfway done with chemo!
Again, thank you all so much for your support. It is truly life giving. I’m including a few recent photos of me, plums and some dear friends.
