5/23/24: Making Progress
the Linch Family
Mackenzie continues to recover and has moved to the rehab center to begin a 2-3 week inpatient recovery program. We hope this is her last stop before she can come home. She is breathing with limited oxygen support now and will be working with the physical therapy team to regain her mobility, strength, and independence.
Mackenzie “enjoyed” a field trip to CHOA’s Egleston Children’s Hospital last week. She completed a special procedure there to prepare for an immunotherapy treatment she will likely receive this summer. The treatment includes some risks but may be a necessary step to keep her in remission.
In other news, our family is moving at the end of this month. We’re moving down the street to a home in the same Atlanta neighborhood but need to make this change now to prepare for future phases of Mackenzie’s treatment plan. Please reach out to us separately if you need our new address.
Thanks as always to this wonderful community of friends and family. We could not have made it this far without you.
