NEW DEVELOPMENT: We Have some big things in the works for Mack.
I'm partnering with my good friend Kennedy, and we are planning to host two annual fundraising events for Mack each year. Kennedy has experience with fundraising events from her non-profit Canal Life, and she is one of my favorite people to spend time with. This is going to be so fun!
The two main events we plan to do are
#1- Macks Christmas Market- Our first market taking place this December at a beautiful venue local to Canal Fulton ~hopefully the same venue every year~& ~hopefully~ full of vendors offering the perfect seasonal goods like cookies, breads, and other gifts! There is something I love about gathering with friends and neighbors at winter events and there just isn't enough of these things that I know of. I will have a booth set up sharing Mack's story and answering questions to our attendants. We will also be holding a raffle with items form the vendors and anyone else willing to give for that.
#2- Mack's Golf Tournament fundraiser- Aiming for the early fall of each year beginning in 2027. This is the area we need the most help in! We are talking with someone who has experience in this area soon. But this event will require volunteers on site and several sponsors. The Golf tournament would be the make it or break it event for us. It is very intimidating and we need all the help we can get. If you know anyone willing to take the lead on this that knows what they're doing, please send them my way.
Right now, we are 1 week away from The Parade of Lights Truck show, which is a fundraising event that picks a new beneficiary every year. We are so thankful and full of gratitude that they chose Mack this year! However, it is very stressful to worry about not being chosen by someone else next year so I'm taking the reins and hosting our own things. We are always open to other fundraising events in the case that Mack is nominated, but that can't be our only option anymore for the sake of my anxiety. As a former wedding photographer, I have experience with creating timelines and organizing events here and there, but I know I need to delegate a lot of what is required for these events to be successful.
