Hard to believe it's Monday and we are 3 days post op. Lincoln is doing as well as can be expected. We are still in the PICU and they said we will reevaluate tomorrow. He has pretty significant weakness in his right leg, the weakness in his right arm has improved though. He will wake up and talk a little bit. Today PT/OT got him into a chair, though he can't walk or stand on his own yet. We also got him to eat some. We are taking all the wins and even the smallest improvements as such. Although we are incredibly grateful for the outcome of the surgery, it is hard to see our Lincoln this way. But little by little he seems to be improving. Thank you so much for all your support, thoughts, and prayers.

This kind of recovery is truly hard to watch because it’s a lot of baby steps that build onto each other as the brain heals. Much love to all of you through this process! We are grateful for the update and the improvements so far. Still praying.

I continue to pray for Lincoln and y'all, Dave and Larkin. I can only imagine what you guys are feeling as you see your son in such a vulnerable state, and my heart goes out to y'all. I pray God gives victories each day to encourage y'all along the path of healing. May God provide hope and peace and rest to y'all that defies explanation.
