I’ve been trying to type up an update for a while now, but it’s proving a bit difficult. How does one accurately express gratitude for something so incredible as this? I’m truly not sure. Our hearts are increasingly humbled and moved through this journey. Thank you all so, so much for showing up for us.

We can hardly believe we are already over halfway to our goal in less than a week 😭🤎

I also wanted to share something really exciting:
The Pediatric Onset of Neuromotor Impairments (PONI) Lab at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary is currently conducting a study exploring robotic-assisted walking devices, and the Trexo is included in this. From what we’ve been told, they have several units at the hospital, and families in Calgary are able to come in regularly to use the Trexo as part of the study.

The hope is that, through research like this, devices like the Trexo would become more widely recognized as approved equipment and potentially be funded through Alberta Health Care or insurance in the future. This is incredibly encouraging to see!

One other neat piece of the story:
The idea for the Trexo originally came from a man whose nephew has cerebral palsy. His background in robotics led him and his friend to pursue ways to improve his nephew’s quality of life, which eventually became what Trexo is today. So, so cool.

If you haven’t checked out Trexo’s website or social media yet, I’d definitely encourage you to! It’s amazing to see the impact they’re having in so many lives.

Thank you again for everything. We are so deeply grateful.
Wishing you all a blessed weekend! Chat again soon!
