Hello faithful friends and family,
I am joyfully typing an update to let you all know that I am doing better moment by moment. I've never really had an IV or heavy medications so my body has been uncomfortable from it all. My sweet nurses Briley and Emma have taken excellent care. My sweet hubby has also lovingly cared for me. My surgeon Dr. Z popped me up and out of bed today and it felt good to stretch my legs out.
Thank you for your understanding in letting me rest. Sleep is the most important part of this healing journey so I appreciate all the ways you guys have shown up!
I am taken back to Matthew 6 after Jesus was teaching the disciples how to pray and just a few verses ahead says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Consider Him the way he considers us. He cares for the birds in the sky and clothed kings just like you and me! He is the God who sees us!
