Treatment Begins Tuesday

Hello friends and family,

I wanted to share a little update from Kristi this evening. She and I have talked about what the coming weeks will look like, and she wanted me to share a bit more about what lies ahead as she prepares to start treatment this Tuesday.

While Kristi is feeling hopeful, she is also feeling scared. Surgery and radiation are not the recommended treatment plan because Kristi’s breast cancer is metastatic and systemic, so those options would not address what is going on the way they would with a more localized diagnosis. Instead, Kristi will be on a targeted treatment every three weeks for the rest of her life. It is newer and more precise than traditional chemo and was actually just approved in December 2025.

I know many of you will think of someone you know who went through chemo, surgery, radiation, and came out the other side. Kristi loves that you want to share that hope with her, but her situation is a different kind of fight, so the path looks different, too. We’d ask for your understanding on that.

In the meantime, Kristi is doing everything she can on her end by trying to eat and live in a way that supports her body through treatment. She has also been praying alongside Ray for a miracle. Kristi says she believes in that, alongside medical treatment.

Kristi wants everyone to know that she appreciates every prayer, message, donation, and expression of love that has been sent her way. She is overwhelmed by the donations and wants everyone to know how much she appreciates the support. It means a great deal to her.

Love you so very much Kristi!!! As your mother, I wish I could take this away & make everything good for you again, but I can’t!! I could say one of the feeling I had was complete helplessness on my part when you first told me. But ~~~ I am NOT HELPLESS!!! I’m in contact with the BEST PHYSICIAN YOU CAN GET IN THE WORLD!!!! He says if any two or three are gathered together ~ He will hear and answer!!! I’m praying for a complete healing Kristi! What a miraculous testimony you will have!!! Sending love & hugs!! 🫶🏻 😘
