Kinsley McLamore
The month of April is flying by and this one was extra special!
Kinsley didn’t get to celebrate Easter last year. She spent the day in the emergency department and her fragility made her unstable for any Easter egg hunt outside. We did attempt a couple of mini ones inside, but her stamina and nausea defeated any interest - no matter how many goodies were packed inside!
This year, she celebrated in full force with family and friends. She actively hunted eggs outside and decorated many more!
While this month has had many joys, we still are battling illnesses and seem to find ourselves at the doctors every week for something. This isn’t too surprising with her white blood cells being lower and chemo meds nightly, but we are ready to truly enjoy spring.
Kinsley returns to clinic tomorrow for chemo in her spinal fluid, a lumbar puncture and labs. She’ll start steroids again for a week and more meds. She’ll continue with her gymnastics, dance, physical therapy and occupational therapy. A treat will hopefully be heading to the cabin next weekend for the opening of fishing season!
Please remember to save those pop tabs. We cannot wait to see how many Kinsley and her friend Cooper are able to donate to support the Ronald McDonald House at Lurie Children’s Hospital!
All the positive vibes and prayers are appreciated!
