Update from the Newlyweds ❤️

Friends/Family, 

We wanted to reach out and give everyone an update as we navigate the road ahead following our house fire. 

Most importantly, everyone is doing okay. Kelsey’s sprained ankle is slowly getting better, and we took Gary— one of our young cats who had the hardest time when the firefighters found him—in for follow-up X-rays to check his lungs. The great news is that there is no fluid in his lungs, though he is starting a course of antibiotics as an extra precaution to prevent pneumonia. 

On the house front, we have met with insurance adjusters and believe we have found a fire restoration construction company to help us rebuild our home. We also spent most of Thursday with the fire investigator. 

In the meantime, we’ve been touring rentals to find a place to stay for the year during the rebuild, and we think we found one that might even let us move in today—fingers crossed that everything comes together! 

From here, we still have a lot to do. Kelsey and I are completely overwhelmed with gratitude. We will never be able to thank all of you enough for everything you have done for us. Between the financial help, calls, texts, meals, and constant encouragement, we are reminded of just how lucky we are to have each of you in our lives. We have a long road ahead of us, but knowing we have the support from you all, we know we will be okay.
