Hi Everyone,
A few updates since my last post...
Kelly remains in the hospital. We have not yet received the test results from the blood work they did this past Sunday. We should be receiving that any day now.
Kelly continues to battle fevers daily signifying that they still have not been able to fully kick the pneumonia. She also continues to struggle with shortness of breath and have since discovered pockets of fluid/infection that her chest tube is not reaching. Because of this her doctors have elected to schedule her for surgery tomorrow morning at 8am. She will be undergoing a procedure called VATS Robotic Surgery that will go in and remove any areas of fluid. She will also be undergoing a Bronchoscopy at the same time to help remove any additional infection.
We're hopeful that these procedures will address any issues caused by the infections and on the road to being home. The recovery following the surgery should take a couple of days so we're praying that she might be able to go home sometime this weekend.
Please pray for a successful surgery and that Kelly's doctors are able to address everything causing this infection.
God bless
Chad
