Today hurt. A lot. I watched an enormous truck with a huge clawed arm callously rip apart my much loved furniture and toss it into a dumpster… Like it was meaningless. Like it wasn’t a part of our family for all these years. Like it was trash.

And then I found the sweet “welcome home” card that Phyllisa Jansen left for Addy and I when we bought this house from her 5 years ago as I was emptying a drawer….And I cried.

Today hurt.

Oh Kelly, that is heartbreaking. Possessions are only things. They can be replaced. But the memories attached to those things are priceless. Hold on to those memories.
