In these 2 minutes

Lots of people ask me if I am able to sleep. The answer is “not really.” Most nights I spend in this place… this very moment you see below. This two minute gap before my home and neighborhood were destroyed. I wasn’t here when the tornado hit, but my parents were at my house trying to put away my lawn furniture.. that is their van in my driveway. They left moments after this picture was taken, only to be caught in the tornado themselves (in their car) and miraculously be unharmed. My neighbor Gregory Kautz took this picture… and this is where I am every single night. Here. In these 2 minutes. Before it was all gone.
