Update: tomorrow marks the end of week #4
This week they worked on lowering his suction each day until yesterday then they put him back on water seal (the step we want to be at in order to remove the chest tube) the xray showed that was not helping and in fact made the lung collapse again. Today they did a procedure where they injected a gel like substance mixed with saline, lidocaine, and antibiotics. That put Karson in immediate intense pain and he's now maxed out on pain meds and turned his suction back up. They're going to give this until Monday and then we will move to the bronchial blockers going in through his throat and into his lung. I can't thank all of you enough for your continued prayers and support! 💚🖤 I will update again as soon as we have any more news!
