Fundraising Update

We wanted to share a quick update regarding the fundraising goal on this page.

As we’ve started receiving bills from Justin’s appointments, testing, procedures, and hospital care, we’ve updated our goal to $6,500, which represents what is left of our family’s out-of-pocket maximum under our health insurance for his care to this point. We don’t anticipate increasing this goal beyond that amount since insurance should cover fully any other care he receives through December.

Please know that there is absolutely no expectation or obligation for anyone to contribute financially. Your prayers, messages, meals, encouragement, and simply checking in have carried us through some incredibly difficult weeks, and we are deeply grateful for every form of support.

If Justin ultimately needs open-heart surgery, we may share a Meal Train or another way for people to help with practical needs during his recovery. But for now, we simply wanted to explain why the fundraising goal changed so that it didn’t come as a surprise.
