The unofficial end of summer has arrived: Labor Day weekend! We spent much of the weekend keeping an eye on Josie after her fall, and thankfully, she seems to be doing well. Sheβs been her usual self and even had some restful nights.
To prepare for back-to-school this Thursday, the highlight of Labor Day weekend was Josie's haircut. Those curls can be tricky to manage as her hair grows longer, so I always look forward to her trims! Her stylist, Maria, is incredibly patient and showers Josie with love during the process. Cutting hair is not easy, especially when the person doesnβt want it sprayed, brushed, or cut, but Maria has a wonderful way of helping Josie relax and works her magic.
Josie was calm throughout most of the haircut, but she got upset afterward. We did what usually helps her calm down: we took a car ride. Josie loves being in motion! Once we arrived at the mall for our daily walk, she was calm again, and everything was back to normal.
Only two more sleeps until her first day of 8th grade. Here she comes!
