The best birthday present!

Today is Joshua's 41st birthday. It's amazing to think that he shouldn't be seeing his 41st birthday. He should be celebrating this one in heaven.

But, alas, the Lord had other plans because He isn't done with Joshua yet.

My husband's main ministry is his family. And with everything that has been going on with our neighbor, just a few days before the shooting, we had talked about this possibly being a spiritual attack against our family. Satan HATES families that are trying to raise children for the Lord, and in these modern times Godly families are under attack from so many sides.  We do believe the man who shot my husband was being used by the "principalities...powers...rulers of the darkness of this world" (Ephesians 6:12) to break up our family. They came for the head - and God said no.

The other day, a psychologist came by to speak to Joshua (completely normal to be seen during his treatment due to him being the victim of a violent crime), and I WISH I was recording the conversation because Joshua sent him home with a lot of things to think about.

With a joy on his face that I haven't seen in a long time, Joshua spoke about serving a King who has a Kingdom that is not of this world. One day he will see his King face to face, but for now he is serving him and he KNOWS 100% that this is where his King wants him to be. In this moment. Even while paralyzed, he is serving the Lord. And there is no greater peace and joy than knowing you are completely in the will of God.

As his wife, I can honestly tell you that every single day my husband seeks to serve the Lord and to be in His will. But so many times, you just don't know for sure if you are. I can say that Joshua KNOWS he is in God's will right now and it's incredible to see the peace and joy radiating from him.

Within the first week of the shooting, I told Joshua that maybe the Lord has him here for that one lost sheep who Jesus is wanting to come home. If just ONE person gets gloriously born again because of everything that has happened to us, then all of this is worth it.

Praise be to the Lord that we have not only been told of one lost sheep becoming part of the family of God, but TWO that have been born again because of Joshua's testimony in this situation.

There is no greater birthday present for him to have than two lost souls coming to the Lord!

Today we celebrate Joshua's life. God has spared him and has been healing him in truly miraculous ways. We celebrate that our children still have their father and I still have my husband. And we celebrate the two souls who have been gloriously saved because of all of this.

We do not know what the next year will bring, but I am so thankful we serve a King who is guiding our steps and has us in the palm of His hands. We put our trust in Him.

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. " 1 Timothy 1:17

As a stroke survivor, I get it. And rehabbing is tough. As for getting to medical appointments, your area should have an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) bus service. I'm in Polk County and the paratransit (disability) bus gives door to door service with a wheelchair lift for $2 each way. This can include a companion if that's stated in the application. Search online or ask your doctor. The doctor has to sign off anyway. I'm not sure where you are but I think I heard about this on the Tampa news.
Another thought, check with Social Security to see what he qualifies for. That wheelchair can be $30,000. and Social Security might pay for it AFTER he's on SS. It takes time. They only intend to get you mobile around the house not outside so they don't cover vans or lifts on your car or even ramps out the door.
I am still trying to recover but if there's anything I am able to help with or answer please contact me.

My Dearest Brother, Joshua,

The Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you on your birthday and each day thereafter in this unfolding saga of your life!

I read Felicia's update to the family at lunch. We were all edified to hear how the unseen King is using you in places not according to your plan but by His Divine Providences, which America's Founding Father of Education and Scholarship, Noah Webster (1828), records as a source of comfort to good men—men of godly character, such as yours.

We then gathered at the piano, singing a birthday song to you on Felicia's voicemail. I was hoping we could speak live, but I understand why that may not be possible. Nevertheless, we continue to agree in prayers about a full recovery from being paralyzed and regaining the function of your legs for the perfecting of your household government and productive prosperity.

We are all very encouraged by your bold witness for the risen Lord Jesus Christ. I observed that boldness on display in public when I exited the Great Outdoors Restaurant in High Springs four years ago this past January. There you were with your entire family, children holding up signs about the strong delusion of COVID-19, that I knew you were my kind of people and had to come over to meet the man I wished I could have had fellowship with the four years we lived in Florida.

Nevertheless, God has His plans and purposes. I am encouraged by your life and witness for our King of Freedom. I am encouraged by your life message of Repentance From Sin. I am encouraged to read your wife's confession that your primary ministry is your family. To that, I SHOUT AMEN and AMEN! for the repentance, healing, and restoration of an orderly, godly society where the men act and govern as men—with conscience and courage—and the women possess dignity.

We have your entire family in mind in our household embassy in Paradise, Pennsylvania. We are looking in earnest when we (Lord willing) WILL embrace you all for the good work HE IS doing in the Joscelyn Household Embassy for the risen King of all kings.

May the good Lord give you much-needed sleep and victory as you overcome the required disturbance of shifting your body for your lower body's sake during the night hours.

I anticipate your forthcoming call or other communication.

Happy 41st Birthday!

Love and embrace from the Durmaz Household Embassy.

You both are truly inspiring! Reminds me of the Christian song that says "let my life preach" - so sounds like the two of you. My prayers are with you each night.

I discovered your YouTube channel quite some time ago and because of you, Felicia, our household is a dedicated freshly milled flour kitchen. Thank you for that.

I'm sure someone else has suggested this already, but in case not, check out the Aging and Disability Resource Center in your area. They offer many low-cost, no-cost services (at least in our area) that could be quite helpful.

Meanwhile, God bless you and your entire family.

Iam so in awe of Joshua’s attitude through this ordeal. I wish more people had his wisdom, insight, and courage. He is a light in this dark world, and although you know of two people who have come to know the Lord because of this, Iam willing to bet there are more. It is hard to deny our creator exists when miracles like this are happening. People who have been on the fence, and even some who have been adamant that we are all here due to a big bang, are being awakened and veils are being lifted as the watch this situation unfold. Joshua is a true testament to the goodness of our Father and the love he has for us. And although not everyone sees their situations play out the same, and many people are lost to the world, His was are always better than ours. He grieves our losses with us, and they don’t always make sense, but I believe that one day all will make sense. For all things work in accordance to His will. Thank you for sharing your journey. I can’t imagine it’s easy to be so open and vulnerable. But I believe you are both an asset to the world around you as you continue to walk in faith with an attitude and peace that can only be achieved through the Love of Christ and belief that He has your best interests in mind. Thank you.

I was heartbroken to hear this story. This is such a broken, evil world we live in for now but it is NOT our home. I will be praying for a complete recovery for Joshua. With Him all things are possible., I also want to thank you for the informative videos. I was finally convinced to order a mill after I watched your list of biblical reasons for whole grain. I have allergies and my husband has had gut issues for years and we hope to improve our health. I will be sharing my experience with our children grandchildren.

May God bless you and encourage you as you continue this journey!!
