(picture: Joshua with his motorized wheel, more details below!)
Yet again, I have waited WAY too long to update everyone!
To start, Joshua and I both want to thank every single one of you for your continued prayers, support, and donations. Not a day goes by someone isn't asking me about Joshua.
We are constantly blown away that donations are still trickling in.
This is going to be a long journey and we are learning new things all the time. One of the big things we have learned is living a disabled life is NOT CHEAP.
Many thanks to God constantly providing through y'all and others. Because of this, we have been able to receive a full bathroom remodel that is handicap accessible. We have also been able to get Joshua a motorized wheel attachment (pictured above) that hooks up to his wheelchair and allows him to use it as a motorized wheelchair. He said he feels like he's driving a Harley lol
These things make living life and doing tasks so much easier for him.
The Lord is good.
As far as a physical update on Joshua:
He actually DID NOT have the surgery in September to remove the bullets. It's a long story, but we decided we needed to circle back with his neurosurgeon and discuss things a bit more so the surgery was cancelled.
Since speaking to his neurosurgeon again, as of right now, the plan is to reschedule the surgery soon to remove 2 of the 3 bullets.
He is still paralyzed from basically the waist down. He hasn't regained any sensation or movement back.
Unfortunately, he is still in chronic pain every single day. Some days it is way worse than others. We are currently working on looking at options that have been suggested to us, but ultimately, we keep praying that the Lord will help guide us to what we should be doing to help him.
Prayer Requests
1) Of course, we always are praying for complete healing - that Joshua will walk again soon.
2) His pain. Please pray that the Lord will show us how we can help him (preferably without drugs or surgeries).
3) The Lord's continual provision. There are just so many things we now require and we don't even know all we may need in the future. Thankfully, we know that the Lord will provide our needs if we ask!
4) The on-going investigation. Enough said.
Once again, we thank all of y'all for your continued support. The Lord has been SO GOOD. He is and will always be good no matter what happens in this life.
Above all, we pray that the Lord will use us to glorify Him and to lead others to Christ and uplift the Saints of God.
