It’s about time for our monthly update…

Jordyn has remained out of the hospital thankfully!  She’s also been very healthy even during flu season so far.  We’ve been careful about going out and being around the masses. She’s still doing homebound schooling and rocking it. We’re doing OT & PT once a week down in Sikeston and she’s rocking it. This week she got on a ball and did some core work. Next week I think they’re going to get out the swing. She’s making big moves. We also found out that Jordyn got a spot for speech down at Restart.  She will have an evaluation Tuesday to determine how many minutes a week she needs.  We’re moving along to get insurance approval on her new speech device. She’s been doing really well with it and is very engaged.

Sleep hasn’t been the best. She’s suffering from more tremors and leg spasms. Last week was rough because Jordyn had some slight oxygen issues. I was worried she was getting sick. Her ventilator kept alarming for high leaks.  We called the company and Jordyn’s doctor, but after starting her on albuterol and 3% saline, she’s turned a corner and is doing great again!  It definitely makes for a stressful week when she isn’t herself. On top of that, her dad had the stomach bug all week.  Brother got to have a sleepover a couple nights at MawMaw and PawPaw’s house so I could focus on Jordyn. He had a blast and it was nice to have some one on one Jordyn time.

That’s all for now!  If you don’t hear from us again in a month, that means we will have stayed out of the hospital. No news is good news ☺️
