Jordyn is 11 years old today! We celebrated her with a Lisa Frank party last Saturday. Today we partied at therapy and she received a surprise visit from the Grinch. It made her day!
Jordyn has been a busy bee this month! We changed therapy centers a few months ago and Jordyn is rocking it and getting stronger. She’s been working on standing and sitting unassisted. She is getting so much stronger. She is doing homebound schooling and has therapy twice a week through school in addition to outpatient. We’ve also been going to St. Louis for appointments at least once a month.
Last month we went to see Wicked in the theaters the day it came out. We’ve been listening to the soundtrack nonstop since and we can’t wait for the second part to come out next year. We have big plans to visit the movie theater more and take Jordyn to do fun things during the week when school is in session.
I have applied to nursing school and if all goes well, I plan to start a 1-year LPN program in September. I’ll be able to then take over as night nurse and get paid to do so while also being available during the day for appts and therapies. As hard as it was to leave my teaching job, I’m really enjoying the extra time with my kids.
We’re excited to see where that takes us as a family. Good changes are coming.
