Jordan Lee's Journey
Hi Everyone,
Last Thursday, March 12th, our little lady turned five years old! Time has not always felt fast moving for us, but now, as I look at our five year old - I absolutely feel that time has "flown" by.
We kept our celebrations simple and small this year, which felt perfect. Jordan is in the midst of an intensive therapy program at NAPA Center in Waltham, MA. This intensive consists of four hours of therapy (PT, OT, and speech), five days a week, for three weeks. She was able to "bring her party" to NAPA and be celebrated there, which was nice.
This year on Jordan's birthday, I reflected on all that she offers this world. Despite persistent seizures and a world that has so many barriers for her, she continues to show us the joy that comes from living in the moment. She is silly, funny, hardworking, authentic, and affectionate. She is incredibly peaceful and content (most of the time). I know I am biased, but I do believe this world could use more of what she's got.
As always, thank you for all your love and support.
Anne
