BIG NEWS! We’re so excited to share that Jonah will be starting hyperbaric oxygen therapy in New Orleans in just 2 weeks!
Thank you to everyone that has donated and supported Jonah’s brain healing - it’s because of you that we’re able to make this happen so soon for him. I have done a tone of research and read many testimonies and believe that this is the best first big step to lay a solid foundation for brain healing.
In order to see benefits, Jonah will undergo 40 treatments (I’ll be in the chamber with him), which will result in us being down there for 2 months. Lyle will be traveling down with us and then I’ll be solo parenting the rest of the time. Thankfully, Jonah’s home health nurse is able to come down the second half which will allow me to work and not have to take unpaid time which is a huge blessing! Being down there without Lyle will be difficult so we’ll likely just be in survival mode and take things day by day. We have a referral placed for the Ronald McDonald house, so I’m hoping we’ll get in at some point because that would alleviate some stress too
I’ve been praying since we got home from the nicu that the right therapies and treatments would open up and God would provide the funding and He hasn’t failed yet.
If you feel called to share Jonah’s story, we’d appreciate it so other people can see the miracles God can do! But above anything else, we just really need continued prayers. Prayers for complete healing of Jonah’s brain, our safety while traveling, strength and sanity for me doing most of the trip alone, and that God continues to open the right doors and provide a way to make the essential treatments happen for Jonah.
