7/27 Update

It’s been a pretty quiet day today!  Last night Johanna had both an MRI and a CT scan, neither of which gave us any further information on how this happened, but perhaps more time is needed to allow healing to begin before the cause will be clear. The MRI did show that she has constricted blood vessels from the bleeding irritating the brain.  We will do a repeat MRI sometime tomorrow to see if this issue is worsening or is stable. 

Before the MRI was ordered, it was the goal of the Pediatric Doctor to remove her from the ventilator.  With the MRI, the extubation may have to wait until Wednesday, but we will have to wait and see!
