7/26 Update

Today has been a pretty good day! 

Our goal was to have a quiet and boring day.  At 6 am Johanna’s NG tube was placed to allow her to start receiving formula.  This went well, and she really seems to be receiving this nutrition well and is quite comfortable. 

During the afternoon, she took a sedation vacation and her Morphine was turned off for two hours!! She tolerated the break for the most part, but at times got a little anxious or had pain, which caused her blood pressure to go up.  Alyssa was able to use her mommy magic to help bring her pressures back down by talking to her and stroking her forehead. 

Tonight we are waiting to go for several scans, including CT with contrast and MRI, to see perhaps if we can now see what the cause of the bleed was and to look for any neurological concerns that might be present at this point.
