Update #2 — 9/28/2026
 The plastic surgery team came in today and sat down with our family to explain the plan for Joseph's reconstructive surgery on Thursday. It will be an all-day surgery with a team of specialists working together to rebuild his facial structure. We know it will be a very long day, but we are grateful that there is a plan in place and that he has such a skilled team caring for him.

They continue to work on keeping Joseph’s pain managed and as comfortable as possible.
 And some great news today—with support, Joseph was able to get up and take a shower and finally wash the blood off of himself.  After everything his body has been through, being able to get up and do something as simple as shower feels like a huge step forward.

Please continue to pray for Joseph as his body prepares for Thursday—for his strength, for continued healing and reduced swelling, and for the surgeons and specialists who will be working to rebuild his facial structure.
