Joe's progress

Hi everyone,

​Thank you all so much for being here and supporting Joe with your positive thoughts, prayers, and generous donations. It truly means the world to us.

​I arrived in Salt Lake City this afternoon and got to see both Joe and Greta. I’ve never seen Joe without a full head of hair and his beard—he looks so young! Burn patients have to stay clean-shaven daily to prevent infection, so that’s a new look for him!

​He was in good spirits today, and I even managed to get a little laugh out of him. His pain medication is working well, so he’s sleeping a lot, resting, and getting ready for his second surgery next week.
