Thank you feels too small. To say we are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from family and friends is an understatement.
Putting this journey “out there” has made it feel more real, and at the same time, it has shown us a level of care and love beyond what we were expecting. One gesture that may feel small to the individual doing it can mean so much to another, and many such gestures added together can truly change someone’s world. Please know that you all are an incredible blessing to us.
A quick update:
Jessica had a surgery on Thursday to place a port for the chemotherapy. Friday was a recovery day (and a bit of a struggle for all of us if I’m being honest). Today (Saturday) she’s feeling much better already. We are gearing up for her first chemo treatment on Thursday, April 30th.
This morning, we all found ourselves squished together in Jessica’s favorite spot - her “porch couch” where she loves to have her morning coffee and devotional time while she enjoys her blooming flower garden and hearing the birds sing their songs. It was a peaceful reminder of what togetherness means to us.
I’ve never seen Jessica so strong. Her resilience, peace, and determination continue to amaze me every single day. I love her deeply, and I know so many of you do, too.
Thank you for walking alongside us through your prayers, messages, encouragement, and love. We feel it, and we carry it with us.
God's got this.
God's got this.
With grateful hearts,
-A&J
