Sometimes you just want your mom. And this week, Jessica got just that. Her wonderful mother, Kay, joined her for chemo treatment #10. If you've ever met her, you'll know exactly where Jessica gets her empathy and compassion for others. They are both among the kindest people I know.

Having her mom there was good for Jessica's heart, body, and soul.

Only two chemo treatments left! And Jessica is still doing so well. (Insert broken record sound here. 😄)

She was experiencing a little neuropathy the past couple of weeks - nothing major, but enough to mention it to her oncologist, and he agreed to back off the drug that typically causes it a bit. Between that, the supplements she's been taking, and her top-shelf healthy eating, it seems to be helping.

We also had a good second meeting with her naturopathic doctor, including some encouraging results from some additional blood work that gave us a deeper look at what her body is doing behind the scenes.

Jessica has worked incredibly hard to build and support her body's natural defenses throughout this process. We still have work to do, but we still feel we're on the right path.

We're also looking forward to hearing our doctors' thoughts on how well her body has handled the chemo and how much the tumor has shrunk since treatment began.

As always, thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, love, meals, gifts, and support. We never take any of it for granted.

Happy Independence Day (aka Cycle 4, Day 3)! 🇺🇸
