Surgery day!

Jaxon's Journey

Today, Jax had surgery to place bilateral ear tubes and remove his adenoids. This step was an important one — he’s been struggling with frequent ear infections since his hospitalization. Despite several courses of strong antibiotics, the infections often came right back, taking a toll on his gut health, overall well-being, and recovery progress.

These recurring infections have also made therapy especially challenging. When Jax gets sick — particularly with ear infections — his muscle tone increases significantly, making it hard for him to even sit up some days. As you can imagine, that impacts his ability to participate fully in his therapies.

We’re hopeful that this surgery will make a big difference for him — fewer infections, fewer setbacks, and more good days ahead for healing and growth. Thank you all for continuing to cheer him on and lift him up. 💙
