I have told everyone that the one silver lining in this process has been that my army of family & friends are showing up and showing out!  I have received countless calls and texts and emails.  Everyone telling me how wonderful I am.

I have always known that I have a good picker and that I value my friendships and nurture them.  I realized, though, that 90% of the time I spend with friends is for happy good fun times!  Jonathon and I talked and have accepted that we are in the 10% times, where our people want to be with us the trenches and let them fight with us.  Some of my favorite moments thus far:

Doctor is speaking with me while my friend was visiting.  She stopped and asked "Do you have any medical training?  You seem very comfortable with our terminology."  We both smiled and my friend said "No medical training, she's just wicked smart".

After texting about my first chemo treatment: "Do you feel like an Alien or a human being being treated by Aliens".  A: Doctors are definitely the Aliens.
