J. Doig & Family
God’s love for us continues to amaze us through this journey. All the little day to day things that we see his hand in are a continual reminder that we are not walking through this alone. We had dinner provided for us when we got home from the appointment. The doctor gave J a handicap placard which has already come been a huge benefit. Access to pools is such a blessing as it brings some flexibility and relief to J’s muscles. The prescription for muscle cramps has already started working which is a relief as this is the only physical pain he has been experiencing. His work has wrapped J up and continues to amaze us at how supportive and accommodating they are. The voice cloning company has already sent what is needed for us to start that journey this upcoming week. I know the list goes on!
I come here to record some of these things because not only do I want to share them with you so YOU can see how the Lord is working, but so that I can look back and remember. J and I were talking the other night and we said we know we may have days we don’t see or feel him at work-so we want to be able to look back and remind ourselves of these days that He is so present and his work very evident. One beautiful gift from Him this week was the ability to go to our first concert together. This has been a desire of ours since day 1! To see the Lord place our names on the hearts of friends and make it happen, it truly brought tears to our eyes. It was such a sweet (and quite emotional) night just singing and enjoying life, and relaxing with sweet friends!
This week did show us the need to conserve J’s steps, maybe more than we realized. He is getting tired more easily and we are finding ways to just help his body be at rest better.
Our next appointment is not until July 30, with a few “business” appts set up between now and then. I will be taking a CPR class, and most excitedly we will be closing on the sale of our home in Auburn! We will continue to set up accounts and access to the people and places we will need at later dates.
Thank you again for all your love and prayers.
